How do I go about booking an appointment?

Please call us during office hours and speak directly with a staff member. Feel free to fill out the online registration form and submit it prior to your first visit. This will expedite things at your first visit.

Do you accept insurance?

We will process your insurance claim electronically but you are expected to pay us directly for the services on the day of the visit. When insurance claims are filed electronically, you can expect reimbursement from the insurance company within 2-3 days. Please bring your insurance information to your first visit so that we can file your claim electronically that day.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. We do not accept personal cheques.

Should I get records from my old dentist?

Records and old x-rays can be helpful for us. You can contact your former dentist and ask him/her to send us your records. X-rays that are older than 12 months are generally not helpful and we will likely recommend updating them at your first visit.

What services are covered under my dental insurance plan and how much will they pay?

Every dental insurance plan is different. It is impossible for us to know all the details of your particular plan. If you have a benefits booklet or have access to the details of your plan online, then please bring this information to your first appointment. Unfortunately your insurance company will not share any details of your plan with us. It is important for you to know your yearly deductible, your yearly maximum, your rate of reimbursement, and what services are covered. If you are unsure of your coverage, we can submit what is called a formal predetermination or estimate to your insurance company. The company will then respond to you in writing what they are prepared to cover.

How do you handle a nervous patient?

We know that most patients have some anxiety about having dental work done. Most patients find our office extremely relaxing due its spa-like ambience. However, we know that for some patients this is not enough. Dr. Simpson can provide laughing gas (nitrous oxide sedation) for patients of all ages to help reduce their anxiety. Nitrous oxide is an extremely safe and effective way to calm a patient and it is easy to administer and there is no hangover effect. Patients leave the office and are able to drive and carry on with their regular routine.
